Prof. YE Kangtao was born in April 1973. He holds a PhD in Management and is a member of the Communist Party of China. Ye is currently Vice President of Renmin University of China. In 2016, he was awarded the National Outstanding Talents in Accounting by Ministry of Finance. One year later, he was awarded the National Changjiang Young Scholar by Ministry of Education of China. Currently, YE serves as a member of the Standing Committee of the RUC University Council and Vice President. He was the Vice Dean of RUC Graduate School and Director of Finance Department of Renmin University of China. He is also a member of the National Committee for Graduate Education in Auditing, the Chairman of the Graduate Education Branch of the Beijing Higher Education Society, and a member of the Auditing Standards Committee of the Chinese Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Prof. YE is mainly devoted to accounting. He has presided over multiple projects of the National Social Science Fund and the Chinese Ministry of Education. Two of his researches, The Labor Market Consequences of Financial Frauds and Book-tax Difference and Earnings Management were funded by National Natural Sciences Foundation of China. So far, YE has published many high-standard academic books, and he has published over 50 papers in Journal of Management World, Economic Research Journal and Management Science. Prof. YE has won the Second Prize of National Teaching Achievement Award of Higher Education, the First Prize of Beijing Higher Education Teaching Achievement Award, the Second Prize of Beijing Philosophy and Social Sciences Excellent Achievement Award, the Best Paper Award of Ministry of Finance, and the Best Paper Award of China Accounting Society.
