School of Mathematics, established in June 2018, offers a nationally first-class undergraduate program, a First-Level Discipline authorized to offer a doctoral degree program, and a post‑doctoral research station in Mathematics. The school has been approved to establish the Engineering Research Center for Financial Computing and Digital Engineering of the Ministry of Education. It comprises three academic divisions: Department of Mathematics and Applied Mathematics, Department of Information and Computational Science, and Department of Financial Mathematics and Financial Computing.
School of Chemistry and Life Resources, established in April 2024, focuses on the dual disciplinary systems of organic and inorganic life resources, encompassing Chemistry and Environmental Science & Engineering. The School is home to four research institutes: the Institute of Resource Recycling and Protection, the Institute of Synthetic Resources, the Institute of Material Structure and Analysis, and the Institute of Materials Science and Engineering.
Candidates must meet the general requirements stipulated in the Regulations on Managing Leaders of Public Institutions of the People’s Republic of China and demonstrate political integrity, academic excellence, and outstanding leadership.
Candidates should firmly support the socialist system and leadership of the Communist Party of China; fully comply with the laws and regulations of the People’s Republic of China; and have a genuine passion for education, strong dedication and teamwork spirit.
Candidates should own a doctoral degree and the title of full professor or equivalent title (including positions comparable to professor or senior researcher at universities or research institutes).
In principle, candidates should be under 55 years of age. Candidates should have original, systematic research and recognized academic achievements in relevant disciplines; have a broad international academic vision, significant global scholarly influence, and successful experience in building international research collaboration; and be familiar with cutting-edge trends in teaching and research worldwide.
Candidates should demonstrate excellence in strategic leadership for disciplinary development; have extensive experience in educational administration, interdisciplinary coordination, and industry-academia-government innovation; and be capable to formulate strategic and innovative plans for disciplinary development and to steer frontier advances in new quality science and engineering.
Preference will be given to candidates who have chaired international academic organizations, led major national-level research platforms, or held leadership roles at top universities or research institutes worldwide.
