More than 6,000 postgraduate students of the Class of 2025 arrived from across China and the world to register at Renmin University of China's campuses in Tongzhou and Zhongguancun in Beijing, and Suzhou in Jiangsu province on Aug 31.

As the only national key university located in the core area of Beijing's sub-center, the Tongzhou campus of RUC is now operational. Over 4,000 incoming postgraduate students gathered at the campus to begin a new chapter in their academic journey.

At the Tongzhou Campus, Zhang Donggang, secretary of CPC RUC Committee, and Lin Shangli, president of the university, welcomed the new arrivals and visited student residential communities, and encouraged them to work together to promote high-quality construction and management of the Tongzhou Campus.

Zhang also encouraged the new students to cherish their youth, shoulder the responsibilities of the times, and pursue rigorous academic research in the great practice of Chinese modernization, making due contributions to the development of an independent Chinese knowledge system. He stated that the university will provide coordinated, multi-dimensional support for students' all-round development—from ideological guidance and academic support to psychological care, practical training, cultural enrichment, and safety.
