Renmin University of China places great importance on international exchange and cooperation. By the end of May 2025, the university has established academic connections with 316 universities and international organizations in 63 countries and regions in the world. 

Visiting programs

In 2025, RUC offers junior and senior visiting programs, as well as a Chinese language program.

Junior visiting program: Applicants are generally required to be first-year undergraduate students or above. Participants may select courses from RUC's undergraduate programs, taught in Chinese or English.

Senior visiting program: Applicants are generally required to hold a master's degree or above. Under the guidance of faculty, students engage in specialized research or advanced study in their chosen field.

Chinese language program: Applicants are generally required to have completed at least a high school education and will study Chinese at the School of Chinese Studies and Cultural Exchange of RUC.
