The recent "Golden Autumn · Three Lakes Carnival", celebrating the beauty of Jinji Lake, Yangcheng Lake, and Dushu Lake, drew lively crowds to the Moon Bay food market, where Renmin University of China's Suzhou Campus featured a popular French–Moroccan themed booth. The blend of French and Moroccan culture in the vibrant autumn setting created a distinctive cross-cultural experience along Dushu Lake.

The aroma of freshly made crepes soon filled the air. Butter sizzled on the pan as warm, soft crepes were drizzled with chocolate, evoking the gentle sunshine of Brittany and coastal French life.

Nearby, crispy Marseille-style pastries served with fragrant mint tea offered visitors a taste of the Mediterranean, while traditional couscous dishes intrigued many visitors. These flavors provided an inviting window into Moroccan culture, showcasing the warmth and richness of this North African nation.
The booth also offered artistic engagement beyond cuisine. Intricate henna paintings, featuring delicate floral and vine designs, served as a visual expression of the cultural ties between China and Morocco.
By Dushu Lake, the charm of cultural exchange could be felt in every flavor and interaction. As global cultures become tangible and immersive experiences, Chinese and international students at RUC Suzhou Campus are exploring new possibilities for meaningful global engagement. They are not only enthusiastic participants, but also confident communicators and storytellers, sharing the spirit of cultural connection with the world.
