On November 8, Zheng Shuiquan, deputy secretary of the CPC RUC Committee, delivered a keynote speech at the Frontier AI Models Forum, discussing RUC's exploration on AI model safety and governance, and introducing several AI models developed by the university.
On November 9, the AI for Science Forum, co-organized by RUC, gathered leading experts and scholars from China and abroad to discuss emerging trends in AI-driven scientific research. During the forum, RUC released its latest achievements in smart governance research and practice.
Centered on the AI4R, the released achievements focus on four key areas — digital rule of law, international governance, Healthy China and data elements. Representative applications include the Foreign-Related Rule of Law Model, the "Yixintong" Community Secretary Agent and a comprehensive policy tools database.
These achievements integrate humanities and social sciences with advanced technologies such as big data, artificial intelligence and blockchain. They target key research directions including human–machine collaborative decision-making systems for national governance, policy simulation and evaluation systems, and complex social indicator prediction systems. Together, they help build a full-chain intelligent governance system spanning macro-level decision-making to micro-level implementation, enabling more precise policy execution and significantly enhancing governance efficiency.
During the summit, meetings were also held to establish several WIC professional committees, including those on e-commerce and cultural heritage digitization, and a plenary meeting of the Artificial Intelligence Professional Committee.
As RUC's liaison unit to the WIC, the Law School has continuously promoted in-depth collaboration with the WIC in areas such as AI, digital governance, cultural heritage digitization and cyberspace law.
Amid accelerating digital transformation, RUC remains committed to interdisciplinary innovation and global cooperation, contributing RUC solutions to the development of an inclusive, trustworthy and people-centered digital civilization.
