Host: Chen Ying, professor and doctoral supervisor at the School of Foreign Languages, Renmin University of China

Speaker: Chen Rongnyu

A second-level professor and doctoral supervisor at Beijing Language and Culture University, she currently serves as the vice dean of the School of Chinese Language and Literature, vice dean of the Chinese Culture Research Institute and director of the Institute of Comparative Literature. 

She is the editor-in-chief of the journal Contemporary Comparative Literature. Her main research interests include ancient Greek literature, Western classical studies and cross-cultural drama. She has authored monographs such as A Study on the Cross-Cultural Drama Practice of Ancient Greek Tragedy in China, translated works including Philosophy of Money and Annotations on Xenophon's Spartan Political System, and has published over 90 academic papers.
