[Speaker] Yu Mingqing

Yu Mingqing is a professor and doctoral supervisor in the Russian Department of the School of Foreign Languages at Capital Normal University. She is a member of the university's academic committee, head of the Russian Department, secretary-general of the Russian Literature Research Branch of the China Foreign Literature Society, deputy director of the Beijing Branch of the Pushkin House in Russia, deputy director of the Foreign Poetry Research Center at Capital Normal University, a researcher at the Institute of Humanities and Social Sciences Innovation at Capital Normal University and a member of the Beijing Writers Association.

Her main research focuses on Russian literature and culture. She served as the sub-project leader for the major project of the National Social Science Fund of China, "The Multi-Volume General History of Russian Literature", and led the National Social Science Fund project "Gogol Studies" and the Beijing Social Science project "20th Century Russian Ecological Literature Research".

She has published multiple academic monographs and textbooks, including "The Mysterious Romance and Reality of Gogol". Her translated work "The Imaginary Wolf" won the Special Prize of the 2019 "Ligang Russian Literature Translation Award" and the Third Prize of the 2020 "Sino-Russian Literary Diplomatic Translation Award".
