Professor Zheng Xinye, born in August 1969, holds a PhD in Philosophy and is a member of the Communist Party of China (CPC). He currently serves as a member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Committee of Renmin University of China (RUC) and the Vice President of RUC. He is the Chief Expert of major projects under the Marxist Theory Research and Construction Project of the Ministry of Education and an expert entitled to government special allowance from the State Council. 

His main research interests include socialist market economy theory and theory of peace and development.
