
Professor Feng Shizheng, born in January 1974, holds a PhD in Law and is a member of the Communist Party of China (CPC). He currently serves as a member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Committee of Renmin University of China (RUC) and the Vice President of RUC. He also serves as the Vice President of the Chinese Sociological Association and Vice President of the Beijing Sociological Association.
His main research interests include political sociology, organizational sociology, social transformation and social governance, state-building and political order. Professor Feng has authored several monographs, including The Rebirth of the Redistribution System: Institutional Changes in Jiecun, Social Governance and Political Order in Contemporary China, Theoretical Research on Western Social Movements, and A New Blueprint for Social Governance. He has received numerous awards, including the Beijing Distinguished Social Science Research Award, the Beijing Outstanding Teacher Award for College Teaching, the Fok Ying-tong Education Foundation College Young Teacher Award (Research Category), the Baosteel Outstanding Teacher Award, the Beijing Higher Education Outstanding Teaching Achievement Award, the National Higher Education Teaching Achievement Award, and Outstanding Achievements Award in Humanities and Social Sciences of the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China, among others.
