
Professor Wang Yi, born in February 1972, holds a PhD in Philosophy and is a member of the Communist Party of China (CPC). She currently serves as the Deputy Secretary of the CPC Committee of Renmin University of China (RUC) and the Vice President of RUC. She is the Chief Expert of the major projects under the Marxist Theory Research and Construction Project and serves as the Vice Chair of the Teaching Sub-Committee on Ideological Morality and Rule of Law under the National Teaching Steering Committee for Ideological and Political Theory Courses of the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China.
Her main research interests include Marxist theory and ideological and political education. She has presided over multiple projects of the National Social Science Fund of China and the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China. Professor Wang has published five academic monographs, edited or co-edited more than ten textbooks and books, and published over 100 academic papers in leading journals such as Studies on Marxism, Journal of Renmin University of China, Teaching and Research. Professor Wang received many honors and awards, including National Outstanding Teacher, the Most Beautiful Teacher of 2020, National Outstanding Teacher of Ideological and Political Theory Course, Exemplary Secretary of Grassroots Party Organizations in Beijing, Beijing Advanced Worker, and Beijing March 8th Red-Banner Medal.
