Professor Ma Huaide, born in 1965, holds a PhD in Law and is a member of the Communist Party of China (CPC). He currently serves as the President and the Deputy Secretary of the CPC Committee of Renmin University of China. He is also a member of the 14th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, a deputy to the 16th Beijing Municipal People's Congress (BPC) and the Vice Chair of the Legislative Affairs Committee of the Standing Committee of BPC.

His main research interests include administrative law, supervision law and intra-Party regulations. He has directly participated in the drafting of several important laws, including the State Compensation Law and the Administrative Penalty Law. Professor Ma has authored and co-authored over twenty academic books and monographs and published over one hundred academic papers. Professor Ma serves as the Vice President of China Law Society and the Director of its Academic Committee, the Vice President of China Society for Human Rights Studies and the Vice President of China Discipline Inspection and Supervision Association. He is also an expert entitled to government special allowance from the State Council, the Convener of the Law Discipline Appraisal Group and the Discipline Inspection and Supervision Discipline Appraisal Group of the Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council, and the Vice Chair of the Teaching Steering Committee of the Ministry of Education for Jurisprudential Education in Universities and Colleges. He has been selected for multiple national-level talent projects, and has won the 4th National Outstanding Young Jurist Award.
