In July 2025, RUC, together with Beihang University, Federal University of Rio de Janeiro and  Federal University of Minas Gerais, established the center. Bringing together the traditional strengths and emerging disciplines of the four universities, the center builds a robust network for academic cooperation, fosters knowledge innovation and resource sharing and creates new platforms, strategic spaces and signature programs for youth exchange, educational collaboration, cultural dialogue and mutual learning between China and Brazil. It also serves as a model for higher education cooperation among Global South countries.
