Ma Huaide delivers keynote speech at 2025 China Rule of Law Forum and 16th China Jurists Forum

The China Rule of Law Forum (2025) and the 16th China Jurists Forum opened in Shenzhen, Guangdong province on Dec 29. The event gathered leaders from the China Law Society, provincial law societies, prominent legal scholars, and representatives from the legal communities of Hong Kong and Macao. Nine experts delivered keynote speeches during the forum.

Ma Huaide delivers a keynote speech at the China Rule of Law Forum (2025) and the 16th China Jurists Forum.

Ma Huaide, vice-president of the China Law Society (CLS), chair of its academic committee, and president of Renmin University of China (RUC), delivered a keynote speech at the event. Ma emphasized that comprehensively promoting scientific legislation, strict law enforcement, impartial justice, and universal law compliance is essential for building a higher-level socialist rule of law country in the new era. He noted that this approach lays a solid foundation and provides scientific guidance for the country's comprehensive modernization under the rule of law.

Huang Wenyi delivers a keynote speech at the forum.

Huang Wenyi, member of the Academic Committee of the CLS, editor-in-chief of China Legal Science, and professor at RUC Law School, also delivered a keynote. He highlighted that building a safe and law-based China is both a key goal and an important guarantee for Chinese path to modernization with Chinese characteristics.

Feng Yujun speaks at the afternoon panel on "Rule of Law Supporting High-Efficiency Governance".

During the afternoon panel on "Rule of Law Supporting High-Efficiency Governance", Feng Yujun, executive vice-president of the Association of Legislation of CLS and professor at RUC Law School, discussed the importance of legislation in supporting the realization of the country's carbon peak and carbon neutrality goals, promoting intelligent manufacturing, and advancing the development of gene and cell industries.
