Gao Yanyan, born in April 1980, holds a PhD in Literature and is a member of the Communist Party of China (CPC). She currently serves as the Deputy Secretary of the CPC Committee of Renmin University of China (RUC), Director of the Publicity Department of the CPC RUC Committee, and Director of the RUC Media Convergence Center. She previously served as Deputy Director of the Publicity Department of the CPC RUC Committee, Secretary of the Party General Branch of the Department of Physical Education, Secretary of the CPC Committee of the School of Sociology and Population Studies, and Director of the Admissions and Career Office of RUC.

Her main research interests include ideological and political education in higher education institutions and university culture development.
