Population Research Was " Most Internationally Influential Chinese Academic Journal" for the Eighth Time

On December 17-18
th, the 2020 Forum on the Future of Chinese Academic Journals was held online, and nearly 7,200 people from the journal and publishing circles attended the forum. At the forum, the "2020 Most Internationally Influential Chinese Academic Journals" and "2020 Internationally Influential Chinese Academic Journals" were selected.

A total number of 23,479 journals joined the selection. The Most Internationally Influential Chinese Academic Journals ranked in the top 5% of all in comprehensive international influence, including 175 science-technology journals and 80 humanities and social sciences journals. The "2020 Internationally Influential Chinese Academic Journals" ranked top 5% -10% of all in comprehensive international influence, also including 175 science-technology journals and 80 humanities and social sciences journals. The purpose of the selection of internationally influential journals is to establish domestic journal brands, promote international development of Chinese journals, guide contributions, and jointly build a group of representative Chinese journals in the international academia.
Population Research has won the title "Most Internationally Influential Chinese Academic Journals" for the eighth time since the first Chinese Academic Journals International Impact Awards in 2012. According to the
2020 Annual Report for International Citation of Chinese Academic Journals (Humanities and Social Sciences),
Population Research had a Clout Index of 140.491, with Total Citation of 269 times and Impact Factor 0.224. It ranked 26th among the 80 most influential humanities and social sciences journals, moving up 4 places from its last year’s rank.
