Renmin Law School stands as one of Renmin University of China’s most acclaimed schools. After its founding in 1950, Renmin Law School became the first institution of higher legal education in the People’s Republic of China and, as such, is dubbed by many as the "cradle" nurturing China’s most outstanding jurists. The School of Journalism and Communication at Renmin University of China (RUC) was founded in 1955. With more than sixty years of continuous development, it has become a nationally acclaimed institution for journalism and communication education, a leader in education reform and innovation, and an important platform for global journalism and communication education exchanges. In the four rounds of national disciplinary evaluations conducted by the Ministry of Education of China, its Journalism and Communication Discipline has been consistently ranked No. 1. In both 2017 and 2022， it has been ranked A+ under the evaluation of the two round of Chinese “Double First-Class” initiative.

The School of International Studies at Renmin University of China is one of the oldest and top teaching and research institutes specializing in international relations and political science in China. It is proud of its long-term intellectual contribution to China’s political development, foreign policy making, and international cooperation. School of Sociology and Population Studies of RUC is one of the top institutes in teaching and researching of Sociology, Demography, Anthropology, Gerontology and Social medicine in China and our mission is to establish a world-class faculty with a strong focus on frontier research, high-quality teaching, and active international cooperation.
