According to the latest Clarivate Analystics listing of Essential Science Indicators (ESI) statistics, the Engineering discipline offered at RUC has entered the global top 1%, becoming the fourth discipline offered at RUC to enter the ESI listings, and the first time that the Engineering course has made it into the global listings so far.
1430 Engineering disciplines were included in the top 1% in this set of listings, with RUC entering at the 1408th position, taking the 0.985 position internationally. 337 papers were chosen from RUC’s Engineering discipline to enter the ESI data bank, being quoted a total of 2493 times, on average 7.40 quotations per paper. Analysing the relevant data, it is computing and environmental studies in particular that have been the focus of papers chosen, whilst Systems Sciences, Chemistry, Mathematics, Management and Economics have also made considerable contributions. To date, Chemistry and Engineering are the two scientific disciplines on offer at RUC to have been entered into the ESI listings.
