Baidu released its first list of AI Chinese Young Female Scholars on March 8, the International Women’s Day. After the worldwide appraisal, 80 young female scholars are selected on the list, who have made outstanding contribution in the field of AI.
Zhang Jing and Zhu Qiannan from Renmin University of China (RUC), Bai Ting (now a lecturer in Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications) and Chen Shizhe (now a postdoctoral researcher at the French Institute of Computer Science and Automation) are on the list.
Zhang Jing
Associate Professor in School of Information, RUC
Research field: Data mining, natural language processing and knowledge graph
Zhang has published more than 60 papers on international conferences, such as KDD, ACL, SIGIR, WWW, EMNLP, WSDM, and international journals including TKDE and TOIS. She is the senior member of the Procedure Committee of WWW'23, IJCAI'21 and PKDD/ECML'21 as well as the associate editor of AI Open.
Zhu Qiannan
Postdoctor from Gaoling School of Artificial Intelligence, RUC
Research field: The learning and reasoning of knowledge graph, recommendation system, information retrieval and interpretive artificial intelligence
Zhu has published more than 20 papers on international journals and conferences, including IEEE TKDE, WWW, AAAI, IJCAI, CIKM and WSDM, among which about 10 papers published on CCF A/B international conferences and journals were written by Zhu as the first author or corresponding author. Her research results have been cited more than 360 times in Google Academics.
Bai Ting
Doctor from Renmin University of China
Now a lecturer in Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications
Research field: Recommendation system on users’ portrait, multimodal data analysis
Bai has published more than 30 papers on important international conferences and journals, including SIGIR, SIGKDD, WWW, TKDE, CIKM, WSDM, NAACL, etc. Among the papers, three have won the Best Paper/Best Paper Candidate award. She is invited to serve as Publicity Chair of IEEE ICDM and IEEE ICKG.
Chen Shizhe
Doctor from School of Information, RUC
Now a postdoctor at French Institute of Computer Science and Automation
Research field: multimodal research on the integration of computer vision and natural language
Chen has published more than 20 papers on NeurIPS, ICCV, CVPR, ACM MM and other top international conferences, and won the champion of 2018-2020 CVPR ActivityNet Video Captioning. She also serves as a reviewer for top international conferences and journals, including CVPR, ICCV, ECCV etc., as well as the Field Chair at conferences like ACM MM 2023, CVPR 2023, ICCV 2023 and NeurIPS 2023.
With reference to the scientific research achievements, the classification standard of China Computer Federation and suggestions of domestic experts, the “AI Young Female Scholars List” selects 80 Chinese young female scholars based on their academic competences, academic influence and research potential.
