Professor WANG Yi was born in February 1972. She holds a PhD in Philosophy and is a member of the Communist Party of China.Professor WANG is a distinguished scholar under the Chang Jiang Scholars Program and a chief expert of the Central Marxist Theory and Construction Project. She was also selected by the National Ten-Thousand-People Plan. Currently, Prof. WANG serves as a member of the Standing Committee of the RUC University Council and one of the university’s Vice Presidents.

Her main research fields are Marxist theory and ideological and political education. She has presided over multiple projects of the National Social Science Fund and the Chinese Ministry of Education. So far, WANG has published 5 academic monographs and edited/co-edited more than 10 textbooks and books. She has published more than 100 academic papers in such leading journals as Studies on Marxism, Journal of Renmin University of China, Teaching and Research, and etc. WANG received many honors. She was awarded by the National Exemplary Teacher, the Most beautiful Teacher of 2020, National Outstanding Teacher of Ideological and Political Theory Course, Exemplary Party secretary of Grassroots community in Beijing, Beijing Advanced Worker, and Beijing March 8th Red Flag Medal.
