Co-authored paper covering Chinese path to Modernization published

Recently, Professor Liu Wei of the School of Economics and Associate Professor Fan Xin co-authored a paper titled "Realizing Chinese path to Modernization through high-quality development and promoting the irreversible historical process of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation", which was officially published in the 4th issue of Management World.

 

“The modernization of different countries has certain common characteristics, but at the same time has their own different paths in practice. As a result, there are both successful and unsuccessful cases in the process of modernization,”the paper writes. As a latecomer to modernization, China's modernization has made great historic achievements, which are the result of the integration of theoretical foundation, economic support and institutional guarantee. In the new era, strategic opportunities have changed. To this end, the CPC should be more aware of potential dangers, in order to accelerate the establishment of a new development pattern and promote high-quality development to build a great modern socialist country, so as to achieve the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.

 

Liu Wei, former president of Renmin University of China, has long been committed to the study of political economy of socialism with Chinese characteristics, economic development and economic growth theory.

 

Fan Xin is a researcher at the National Center for the Study of Political Economy of Socialism with Chinese Characteristics at Renmin University of China. His research interests also include market segmentation and economic growth.
