The national final of the 8th China International College Students’ “Internet+” Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition was held at Chongqing University Huxi Campus on April 9th. Since the competition was launched in April last year, a total of 14.5 million students and 3.4 million projects from 4,554 universities across 111 countries and regions have registered, hitting the record in scale.
In the final, RUC team “Countless Pleasure Runner—AI-enabled Business Design Pioneer” won the gold award in the Higher Education Track, ranking the second in the Undergraduate Emerging Project Category. This is the first time RUC has won gold in the Higher Education Track since 2016.
The team “Countless Pleasure Runner” applies big data and artificial intelligence to the whole process of enterprise design. Having multiple patents, it has become a supplier for many large companies and public institutions after its incorporation. As a team supported by the “Artificial Intelligence + X” Talent Training Program of the Institute of Entrepreneurship and Innovation, “Countless Pleasure Runner” is dedicated to the synchronous development of cutting-edge technology and high-quality cultural and creative products, using AI in business design to fuel the digital and intelligent transformation of the cultural and creative industry. The team gathered collective wisdom from students and teachers in multiple schools, including the School of Arts, the Gaoling School of Artificial Intelligence, and the School of Statistics, manifesting the epitome of cross-discipline cultivation in RUC.
Introduction to Team Members
Gao Luqi received his bachelor’s degree in animation from Renmin University of China and his master’s degree in Graphic and Media Design from University of the Arts London. He is the partner designer of China Children and Teenagers’ Fund, China Winter Sports, Central Route Construction Management Bureau of South-to-North Water Transfer Project, Beijing Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism Talent Center and other organizations. His Book China’s Focus—the Winter Olympics Spirit has won many awards at home and abroad, and has been reported by the People’s Daily, Beijing TV, China News Service and other media.
Chai Siyu is an MA from the School of Arts at Renmin University of China. He was elected as Beijing Youth Entrepreneurship Mentor and has entered the innovation and entrepreneurship lists of Hurun, Forbes, and Zhongguancun. He is a member of Beijing Young Entrepreneurs Association and Beijing Fangshan District Cultural Industry Innovation Association. He has accumulated more than 30 national and provincial honors.
Liu Jiongnan is a doctoral student from the Gaoling School of Artificial Intelligence. His main research area is information retrieval. He published three articles as first author in international conferences and has four pending national patents for invention. In his undergraduate years at RUC, he won the National Scholarship and the Wu Yuzhang Scholarship.
Lu Haoyu is a doctoral student from the Gaoling School of Artificial Intelligence. His main research areas include multimodal pre-training and video understanding. He published two articles as first author in international AI conferences and was a core member of the large-scale Chinese multimodal pre-training model project “Wu Dao-Wen Lan”.
Huang Siyu is an undergraduate from the School of Statistics. She has rich experience in big data operation and management, and has accumulated more than 10 national and provincial awards for innovation and entrepreneurship. She is in charge of the overall operation of the company.
With eight years of history, China International College Students’ “Internet+” Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition has become an important platform to cultivate innovation and entrepreneurial awareness among college students, giving wings to countless ambitious, talented and responsible young people.
