Delegation of Thailand National Institute of Development Administration visited RUC

Du Peng, Vice President of Renmin University of China (RUC), met with a delegation led by Tippawan Lorsuwannarat, President of the National Institute of Development Administration (NIDA) in Thailand on September 15.

 

Accompanying the visit were Sombat Kusumavalee, NIDA’s Vice President, Kullatip Satararuji, Dean of Graduate School of Communication Arts and Management Innovation, Jaray Singhakowinta, Dean of Graduate School of Social and Environmental Development and Strategic Management, Li Renliang, Vice Dean of Academic Affairs of Graduate School of Social and Environmental Development and Strategic Management, Anukul Chiralaksanakul, Vice Dean of Academic Affairs of Graduate School of Business Administration, Jirapa Abhakorn, Vice Dean of Academic Affairs of Graduate School of Language and Communication, Gorn Huvanandana, Deputy Executive Director of Research Center, Asda Chintakananda, Director of Doctoral Program in Business Administration, Kritkorn Nawakitphaitoon, Director of Doctoral Program, Suvicha Pouaree, Werawat Punnitamai, Director of Public Opinion Poll Center, Director of Original Surat Thani Education Center, Teerati Banterng, Senior Researcher of Communication Art, Nipa Chumsuk, Director of International Relations and Corporate Communication Department, and Teerapast Kasemsonta, Academic Officer.

 

Du Peng welcomed the delegation and introduced the history, recent developments, the new Tongzhou Campus, the Silk Road Institute, and the Sino-French Institute of RUC. Du Peng stated that RUC has always attached great importance to cooperation with Thai institutions such as the National Research Institute of Thailand and Thammasat University, as well as universities in countries along the “Belt and Road”. Both universities have similar strengths in disciplines such as human resource management, business administration, and public management, and there are broad prospects for cooperation in these areas. The cooperation could be advanced in areas such as scientific research seed funds, short-term student research, management training programs, and joint academic conferences.

 

Lorsuwannarat expressed her gratitude for the warm reception and introduced the basic information of NIDA. The institute has 11 graduate schools and 1 college, and it consistently adheres to three development goals: cultivating wisdom for sustainable development, nurturing social elites who can change the future, and providing spiritual wealth for society. Lorsuwannarat stated that many departments at RUC could find corresponding departments at NIDA, and NIDA is willing to carry out more research cooperation with all disciplines at RUC. She looks forward to achieving results and welcomes scholars from RUC to visit NIDA for academic exchange.

 

Zhao Zhong, Dean of School of Labor and Human Resources, Zhang Huifeng, Professor of School of Journalism and Communication, Yan Jinming, Dean of School of Public Administration and Policy, Fu Xiaoxing, Vice Dean of School of Sociology and Population Studies, Deng Ziliang, Vice Dean of Business School, and Liu Zaibo, Vice Dean of National Academy of Development and Strategy, attended the meeting together.

 

After the meeting, the delegation visited the “RUC History Exhibition - A Model of a New Regular University Founded by the Communist Party of China” and the sandbox of the new campus at the museum.
