The launch ceremony of ACE (America-China-Europe), a degree in business jointly founded by Renmin University of China (RUC), LUISS University and George Washington University, was held at LUISS University.
Lin Shangli, President of RUC, visited Rome, Italy, on September 20th, to attend the launch ceremony. It was joined by Andrea Prencipe, President of LUISS University, Du Peng, Vice President of RUC, and Teresa Murphy, Acting Provost of George Washington University.
Before the ceremony, Lin Shangli met with President Andrea Prenchipe to discuss issues such as the construction of three-degree courses and student internships. Prenchipe extended a warm welcome to the RUC delegation and reviewed the two-sided cooperation. Lin said that the two sides should continue to put effort into various fields of humanities and social sciences, deepen cooperation, and respond to the need for cross-cultural talents in today’s world economic development.
Later, Andrea Prencipe, Lin Shangli and Teresa Murphy delivered speeches at the launch ceremony.
Then, Faculty representatives of the three universities, including Professor Reid Click from George Washington University, Professor Deng Ziliang from RUC, and Professor Antonio Majocchi from LUISS University, shared their opinions and research on global business and trading markets. RUC student representative Huang Yuhan shared her experience since entering the program and her dream for the future.
After the ceremony, Lin Shangli met with RUC students of the ACE program, putting forward ardent expectations. Lin said that business students should have the courage to accept challenges, enhance abilities and observe problems from the broad perspective of humanities and social sciences. He hoped that the students of this program could become the world’s first-class talents.
The ACE program was jointly founded by RUC, LUISS University and George Washington University in 2022, and aimed to explore a new model of international cooperation in talent training and cultivate future global business leaders. The program is enrolled by students from each of the three universities. The students should study in their schools in the first year, and then study at two other universities in the left three years. Graduated students will have a Bachelor’s degree in Management (Business Administration) from RUC, a Bachelor’s degree in Business administration from LUISS University, and a Bachelor’s degree in business (International Business) from George Washington University.
