The Tasting and Cultural Exchange Event of Ningxia Wine and the Signing Ceremony of the Cooperation Agreement was held at Renmin University of China (RUC) on Nov. 26th, jointly organized by the School of Agricultural Economics and Rural Development of RUC, Ningxia International College of RUC, and the Management Committee of the Grape Wine Industrial Park, Ningxia.
The cooperation agreement is signed by the Preparatory Office of Ningxia International College of RUC and the Management Committee of Helan Mountain East Foot (Helanshan Donglu) Grape Wine Industrial Park, Ningxia.
Zheng Xinye, Vice President of RUC, congratulated the organization of the event. He pointed out that this event marked an important milestone in the cooperation between Sino-French higher education, which also contributes to expanding new areas of cooperation.
Huang Siming, Director of the Grape Wine Industrial Park, expressed sincere gratitude to RUC for its efforts in organizing this event. He hoped that more teachers and students would pay attention to and participate in the development of Ningxia’s grape wine industry, working together to build the “World Capital of Grape Wine”.
The signing ceremony was held subsequently.
During the event, Liu Guangwei, Director of the Food Policy Research Center of RUC gave an academic report titled “Chinese Food Culture and Grape Wine”. He hoped that more young scholars and students would pay attention to China’s food policy issues and contribute their own efforts to building an independent Chinese knowledge system and promoting Chinese culture to the world.
At the tasting event, over 100 varieties of wine from nearly 20 well-known wineries in Ningxia were exhibited. Participants followed the representatives of the wineries to experience the unique charm of Chinese wine.
More than 500 teachers and students participated in the event, expressing that this event deepened their understanding of wine and allowed them to experience the richness and diversity of Chinese wine.
