On May 25th, the unveiling ceremony of the Food Science Research Center of Renmin University of Chinand the achievement released conference were held. Experts and scholars from RUC and related fields and departments at home and abroad attended the meeting. The meeting was presided by Qiu Huanguang, dean of the School of Agriculture Economics and Rural Development of RUC.

 

Zhu Xinkai, Executive Vice President of Chinese Renmin University, Convener of the Agricultural and Forestry Economics and Management Discipline Evaluation Group of Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council, delivered a speech. Leaders from a number of departments and institutions jointly unveiled the Food Research Center of Renmin University of China.

 

Subsequently, a series of results of the independent knowledge system of food science were released. Scholars and experts made keynote speeches, pointing out the important value of building a food science discipline system, and the significance of solving food problems and promoting the sustainable process of global society.

 

In the afternoon of the same day, the forum entitled "Food Issues and Sustainable Development (SDG)" was held, at which the framework document entitled "Systematically Addressing Food Issues in Sustainable Development" was released. The meeting received enthusiastic responses from participants.
