Speaker: Professor Xu Bu

Speaker Bio: Prof. Xu Bu is a doctor of Law and researcher. He serves as a member of the High-Level Advisory Committee of United Nations Secretary-General, a member of the Ministry of Education’s Strategic Advisory Committee for the Construction of an Autonomous Knowledge System for Philosophy and Social Sciences in Colleges and Universities, a member of the Expert Group of Political Science Discipline in the Committee of Experts on Philosophy and Social Sciences in Colleges and Universities of the National Teaching Materials Committee, and a member of the Expert Group of the Central Office of Internet Information Technology (CNOIT). He has also served as Deputy Director General of the Department of Policy Planning of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Director General of the Office for Drafting Important Texts, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of China to ASEAN, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of China to Chile, President and Secretary of the Party Committee of the China Institute of International Studies(CIIS), and Secretary General of Xi Jinping’s Thought on Diplomacy Research Centre. He has published nearly 100 theoretical and academic articles in People’s DailyGuangming Daily, Study Times, and various core journals, many of which have been reprinted in the Social Sciences Digest and Xinhua Digest, and his monographs include National Characteristics of the United States of America and Its Impact.
