On November 16^th, RUC’s Vice Chairman of the University Council, Professor ZHANG Jianming welcomed a visiting delegation led by the President of Hankuk University of Foreign Studies, Dr. In Chul Kim, to RUC. The dean of Hankuk University’s Business School, the director of the Hankuk Research Institute for Translation, as well as the director of Hankuk University’s Office for International Affairs joined the visiting delegation. After a word of welcome, RUC Vice President ZHANG reflected on the past cooperation of the two schools and introduced President In Chul Kim to the general situation and leading disciplines of RUC. He also offered a detailed introduction to RUC’s Business School, expressing hopes for extending cooperation with Hankuk University in the area of business studies as a way of training well-versed experts in Sino-Korean economics. President In Chul Kim hopes to expand on the existing cooperation between the two university’s business schools. He outlined existing projects of the Hankuk Business School and Research Institute for Translation that rely on interdisciplinary methods with the goal of training well-rounded translators. Director of the International Office at RUC, ZHANG Xiaojing, and the dean of RUC’s business school also attended the meeting.
