President of Turkey’s Abdullah Gül University Visits RUC

th, RUC Vice President YI Zhihong and Director of the International Office, ZHANG Xiaojing, met with visiting delegates from Abdullah Gül University, including its president, Ihsan Sabuncuoglu.

Vice President YI Zhihong presented the visiting delegates with a detailed history of Renmin University’s development, academic achievements, and specializations, stressing RUC’s strategic focus on internationalization since 2009 by expanding its global network and successfully promoting dynamic cooperation and exchange with overseas higher education institutions. She looks forward to further fruitful exchanges with Turkish universities.

President Sabuncuoglu offered an introduction to Abdullah Gül University, outlining possible areas of cooperation between the two schools in the area of business studies.

Abdullah Gül University, named after Turkey’s eleventh president, was established in 2010 and is located in the central Turkish city of Kayseri, in Central Anatolia. In 2013, the university enrolled its first students. In line with an international outlook, all of AGU’s courses are taught in English, making it one of Turkey’s first universities to offer a full English-instruction course range. AGU houses a Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences, Faculty of Economics & Administrative Sciences, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, and Faculty of Agriculture and Development. It is a top-ranking Turkish university.
