On the morning of the 25^th of October, Vice President for International Affairs and Alumni Development YI Zhihong, held a meeting with former President and current Board Chair of Korea’s Kyonggi University (KGU) Son Jongkok, to explore ways to deepen collaboration between the two institutions. Vice President YI Zhihong started the meeting with a brief run-down on the recent activities of the university, including its history of collaboration with Korea’s high-level academic institutions. She continued by stating that RUC is well reputed for being one of China’s leading research institutions in the field of the humanities, especially in subjects such as economics, politics, law, statistics. RUC has maintained a close collaborative relationship with many academic institutions in Korea such as Korea University, and welcomes the opportunity to collaborate with KGU. SON Jongkuk followed with a brief introduction of his institution, indicating that Kyonggi University is one of Korea’s leading universities in the fields of tourism, arts, physical education, and criminal correction. He expressed KGU’s hopes to strengthen its relationship with RUC, and to develop intercollegiate exchange and collaboration. Deputy Director of the International Office LI Zhenshi was among the people who attended the meeting.
