Chairwoman JIN Nuo Meets with Kaifeng City Municipal Party Secretary JI Bingwei and Delegation

On the 10th of January RUC University Council Chairwoman JIN Nuo met with Kaifeng Municipal Party Secretary JI Bingwei, with both sides discussing in detail opportunities for collaboration. Also attending the meeting were RUC University Council Executive Vice Chairman ZHANG Jianming, Vice Chairman ZHENG Shuiquan and Vice President LIU Yuanchun; and Minister HE Wei and Vice Mayor SUN Xiaohong from Kaifeng.
The meeting began with Chairwoman JIN noting that RUC is a university that specialises in the humanities and social sciences with a unique and modern curriculum, and that Kaifeng is a city famous for its culture and history. Over the years Kaifeng has maintained steady development, and in recent years both sides have accomplished much, which is a sound foundation on which to build a collaborative partnership. She concluded by affirming that RUC is willing to contribute knowledge and talent towards assisting with regional development and reforms, and hopes that from today onward they strengthen exchanges in the fields of training, policy and graduate selection with Kaifeng city, to further promote the development of our collaborative partnership.
Following, Secretary JI lauded RUC for its longstanding and impressive history and tradition of scholastic achievements, and its leading role amongst tertiary education institutions in the fields of humanities and the social sciences. He noted that RUC has a great academic reputation, having consistently maintained a positive relationship with Kaifeng, and having given much support in finding talented people to assist Kaifeng in its development. In recent years all of Kaifeng’s industry have enjoyed considerable development, and the face of Kaifeng changes with each passing day. The recent development of Zimao district is a turning point for hastening a change in governance and investment as it becomes more open, providing momentum for transformation and upgrading of trade. He concluded by expressing hope that both sides could further strengthen cooperation, so as to promote the further social and economic development in Kaifeng.
