On March 23, Beijing Development and Reform Committee in conjunction with Beijing Housing and Committee of Municipal and Rural Construction to convene “Beijing 2017 Priority Construction Project and Training Meeting”. The meeting was held to brief the attendees on such aspects of the projects as capital allocation, supervision, construction, and expectations on the progress of the project. The project will rigorously follow the strict outlines stipulated by Beijing, and is required to publish regular updates on current developments or issues as they arise. After the meeting, the Beijing Housing and Committee of Municipal and Rural Construction Committee printed the 2017 Beijing Priority Project Notice, which confirms the status of the RUC's Tongzhou campus building project as one of Beijing 's Priority Construction Projects. It will adhere to strict environmental standards and undergo an environmental impact assessment as part of the early stages of development of the new campus.
