On April 26, RUC Vice President HE Yaomin met with University of Paris Dauphine Vice Chancellor Christophe Elie-Dit-Cosaque and delegation. Both sides discussed in-depth potential areas of expansion between the two universities.
RUC Vice President HE Yaomin welcomed Vice Chancellor Christophe Elie-Dit-Cosaque to RUC. He stated that RUC is a famous comprehensive research university in humanities and social sciences, and has contributed greatly to the nation’s development and prosperity in social sciences academia, helping fuel the Chinese economy and social development. RUC will be celebrating its 80th anniversary this year. In March, RUC invited Singapore Management University (SMU) and University of Paris Dauphine to establish SIGMA “Social influence and global governance”, to use this platform to promote interdisciplinary teaching, production, and research. Academics have transformed and increased opportunities for students to gain exposure to these social practices. RUC Vice President HE Yaomin introduced RUC’s wide-range of disciplines, cultivation of the Sino-French Institute, and cooperation programs with French higher education institutions, as well as joint development of publications in France. RUC and University of Paris Dauphine share great disciplines such as business administration, economics, and information sciences. RUC hopes to continue to expand by creating more opportunities for teacher-student exchanges, degree programs, and scientific research.
Vice Chancellor Christophe Elie-Dit-Cosaque expressed his gratitude towards RUC. He said that the University of Paris Dauphine economics and management disciplines are among the best of public universities in Paris. He hopes that this new SIGMA “social influence and global governance” platform can promote and set in motion a new curriculum, and further expand more diverse cooperation with RUC School of Business.
RUC School of Business Deputy Party Secretary YE Kangtao, and RUC International Deputy Director CHENG Xin attended the meeting.
