On October 25, Canadian University of Montreal President Guy Lefebvre visited RUC. Accompanying the visit were Research Institute Assistant to the President Kathleen Lennon, and International Affairs Assistant to the President Catherine Villemer, along with China Projects Director JIAO Jie.
DU Peng welcomed the delegation, recalling the fond history between the two universities established since 2012, when student exchange programs started to take root, with every year more than 10 students coming for exchanges in semester courses or summer programs. He hopes that both sides can continue to explore new avenues of cooperation and bring even more students from the University of Montreal to study and do exchanges at RUC.
President Lefebvre praised DU Peng’s ideas, and even went further to discuss in depth building post-graduate programs between the two universities.
After the talk, both parties signed a cooperative agreement between the two universities, to continue student exchanges, and expand more areas of research, as well as jointly develop a post-graduate program.
RUC International Deputy Director CHENG Xin, Research Institute Professional Degree Office Director MA Shengli also were in attendance.
