On October 25, University of Montpelier President Guy Lefebvre visited RUC. Along with the delegation’s visit, the research institute assistant Kathleen Lennon, International Affairs Assistant to the President Catherine Villemer and China Project Director REN Jiaojie were also in attendance.
As representative, DU Peng warmly welcomed the delegation, and recalled that since 2012, the universities established cooperation, and have developed student exchange projects, every year inviting more than 10 students to attend short program courses or summer programs, hoping that both sides will take the next steps toward building new cooperative programs, and establish even more inter-collegiate exchanges and study programs.
President Guy Lefebvre expressed praise and thanks towards RUC, and discussed the possibilities of deeper cooperation in doctoral programs between the two universities.
After the meeting, both sides continued their cooperation agreement, and commitment to continuing overseas exchanges, developing new modes of exchange through research and doctoral programs.
RUC International Deputy Director CHENG Xin, and Research Institute Office Director MA Shengli also were present.
University of Montpelier is the world’s largest French-speaking university. And recently in Quebec are ranked number 1, and for Canadian schools, number 3, ranked overall 103 for newest Thames.
