On the evening of December 14th, RUC Student National Music Orchestra held a special concert " Ode to the Warm Sunshine” in Mingde Hall. The performers and audience enjoyed a traditional Chinese music feast in a warm holiday night. The theme of this year’s concert was "Ode to the Warm Sunshine." Four classic Chinese music works were selected to present the life styles and emotional pursuit of different ethnic groups in different regions of China. The National Music Orchestra lead the audience to appreciate the profound treasures of traditional Chinese music, experience the essence of Chinese culture, and feel the warmth of music in winter. RUC Student National Music Orchestra was formed in 1991, since when it has always been aiming at promoting traditional Chinese culture, popularizing Chinese ethnic music and diversifying campus culture. Every semester, the Orchestra widely participates in various forms of performances and activities on and off campus. As a young representative of traditional Chinese culture, RUC Student National Music Orchestra has performed in more than 20 countries and regions in Asia, Africa and Europe.
