Hungarian Diplomat of Culture and Education Szonja Andrea Buslig Visited RUC

th, Dr. Szonja Andrea Buslig, Diplomat of Culture and Education at the Embassy of Hugary Beijing, Dr. HUO Yuzhen, Special Representative for Cooperation between China and Central and Eastern European Countries, Ministry of Foreign Affairs PRC, and Mr. QIAO Chuan, Director of the China-CEEC Cooperation People-to-People Exchange and Experience Center, visited Renmin University of China. Prof. JIN Nuo, Chairwoman of the RUC University Council and Prof. DU Peng, RUC Vice President, hosted a meeting with the guests. Prof. SHI Yan’an, Director of RUC International Office and Ms. ZHANG Damiao, Vice Director of RUC International Office, attended the meeting.

Prof. JIN welcomed Dr.Buslig, Dr. HUO and their colleagues. She noted that Renmin University of China attaches great importance to exchanges and cooperation with excellent universities in Hungary and central and eastern European countries. RUC is willing to integrate existing platforms under the framework of "17+1 Cooperation" between China and central and eastern European countries to further promote exchanges and cooperation in higher education.
Prof. DU introduced RUC’s interactions and collaborations with central and eastern European universities, as well as the RUC Silk Road School, the Academic Association for International Cultural Exchange (AAICE) and the China-Europe Education Alliance for Humanities and Arts.
Dr. Buslig expressed her gratitude to Renmin University of China. She said that the China- CEEC Summit 2021 had promised excellent opportunities in higher education exchanges between China and Hungary. Hungary has been committed to developing cooperation with China in the field of education and has achieved practical results in Chinese language teaching and bilingual school constructions. She hoped that Hungarian academic institutes could further collaborate with RUC and its affiliated high schools to explore possibilities in school cooperation.
Dr. HUO introduced the China- CEEC "17+1Cooperation." She expressed her support for the in-depth cooperation between Hungarian universities and Renmin University of China in personnel training, school cooperation and think tank research.
