On April 15th, Mr. YUH Pok Keun, Economic Minister of the ROK Embassy to China, visited Renmin University of China with his delegation. RUC Vice President LIU Yuanchun hosted a meeting with the guests. Mr. YUH said that it was a great pleasure and honor to visit Renmin University of China. RUC has trained a large number of outstanding talents in all industries and government departments in China, and it ranks top in disciplines including economics, business and law. Prof. LIU welcomed Mr. YUH and his delegation. He introduced the situation of Korean students at RUC, as well as RUC’s collaborations with South Korean academic institutes. Prof. LIU said that China and the ROK had been enjoying close economic exchanges and solid cooperation, and there would be great space and potential for bilateral cooperation in the future in areas such as bilateral trade, high-end consumption, and technological innovation. In the meeting, they exchanged views on China's economic development and the contemporary China-ROK economic relations. The two sides also had discussions on the prevention and control of the epidemic in China and ROK and the challenge of aging population in the two countries.
