The School of Information Resource Management Held International Frontier Lecture Series

From October 19th to 23rd, the School of Information Resource Management RUC held a 5-day academic lecture series on the theme of “Digital Transformation in Government in the Era of Algorithmic Governance and Artificial Intelligence.”

Professor Rony Medagalia from the Department of Digitalization, Copenhagen Business School, was the keynote speaker of the lectures. Professor Medagalia is one of the leading figures in the field of e-government. His research focuses on the application of information communication technology in the public sectors like governments.

The lectures were held online for five days, with one major topic each day: Digital Transformation and the Public Sector; Digital Government and Citizen Service Transformation; The Future of Digital Government: Artificial Intelligence and Algorithmic Governance; The Future of Digital Government: Blockchain and the Internet of Things; Bridging Research and Practice of Digital Government.

In the lectures, experience teaching was creatively applied to encourage active participation in the discussions, in order for students to form their own views through constant thinking, and later apply the ideas in practice.
