On February 19, the first day of the new semester at Renmin University of China (RUC), Zhang Donggang, Chair of the University Council of RUC, and Lin Shangli, President of RUC, paid a visit to several classrooms of undergraduate and postgraduate to learn about the teaching situation. Vice President Feng Shizheng accompanied the visit.

Zhang Donggang and Lin Shangli came to the Mingde Building and Lide Building respectively and visited several classes, including “19th Century British Romantic Poetry” “Ethics of the Legal Profession” “Econometrics A” “Urban Sociology” and “Operating System” and other classes. They were introduced to the teaching arrangements. In addition, they both sent New Year's blessings to the teachers and students and encouraged students to cherish the time studying in RUC, to work hard, seek truth, and strive for their goals with a fuller state of mind in the new semester.

In the spring semester of the 2023-2024 academic year, a total of 1,441 undergraduate courses will be offered by 1,531 faculty members. And 1,480 faculty members will offer 1,859 graduate courses (excluding prerequisites, social practices, academic lectures, and academic exchange activities), of which 528 are doctoral courses, 788 are master's degree courses for academic degrees, and five are doctoral degree courses for professional degrees, and 538 are master's degree courses for professional degrees.
