Lecture about “What Can the West Learn From the Two Integrations” to be Held in RUC

Roland Boer, Professor in the School of Psychology, Renmin University of China (RUC), will give a lecture entitled “What Can the West Learn From the Two Integrations” at 14:00-15:30 on April 15th.


Introduction: Roland Boer, a professor at the School of Philosophy of RUC, is recognized as a “high-level foreign expert” by the university. He previously served as a professor at the School of Liberal Arts of RUC (2013-2019). Prior to that, he was a professor at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at the University of Newcastle in Australia (2009-2019) and also taught at the Australian Communist Party School. He has held guest professor positions in 14 countries. Boer’s research focuses mainly on Marxist philosophy, Marxist theory and history, literary theory, and related subjects. He has authored 27 monographs, which have been translated into 13 languages, and has published 297 papers of various types. His five-volume work Criticism of the Heavenly Kingdom Turns into Criticism of the Secular World (2007-2014) won the 2014 Deutscher Memorial Prize, making it the most innovative academic work in the Marxist tradition that year.
