From December 28th to 29th, the "China's Public Policy Innovation and National Development in the New Era" Renmin University of China(RUC) Shenzhen Forum 2024 was held in Shenzhen, which was themed "China's Public Policy Innovation and National Development in the New Era."
Leaders and representatives from government of all levels, media, universities, and enterprises attended the forum. Additionally, heads from various departments at the Guangdong Province, Shenzhen City, and Bao'an District were also in attendance.
Lin Shangli, President of RUC, as well as other leaders from RUC attended the forum.
On the morning of the 29th, the plenary session and the inauguration ceremony of the China Public Policy and National Development Research Center were held.
Lin Shangli, President of RUC, stated that RUC will gather talent based on practical experience, stimulate the wisdom and vitality of public policy innovation, and cooperate with Shenzhen to explore innovation and lead by example, making greater contributions to national development through public policy innovation.
Cheng Buyi, Minister of Shenzhen's Organization Department, expressed that Shenzhen is willing to provide stronger support for the development of RUC and other universities and think tanks in Shenzhen, contributing to further comprehensively deepen reforms in Shenzhen, the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, and the whole country.
Leaders attending the forum jointly unveiled the RUC China Public Policy and National Development Research Center.
During the keynote speech session, experts expressed the need to implement more proactive fiscal policies and moderately loose monetary policies; to actively respond to the national strategy for coping with an aging population; to maintain stable economic growth, achieving high-quality development; and to respect, coexist peacefully, and cooperate for mutual benefit with countries around the world etc.
Sun Baiying, Professor at the School of Public Administration and Policy of RUC, released the report "China's Public Policy Innovation and National Development in the New Era", which discusses the innovative path of promoting Chinese path to modernization with high-quality public policy innovation.
The forum also premiered the "Ren Xiaoshen" virtual digital human IP image for the first time globally. "Ren Xiaoshen" is presented by combining holographic rainbow circle technology with naked-eye 3D large screens, skillfully integrating virtual and reality interaction technology.
On the afternoon of the 28th, the prelude to the Shenzhen Forum 2024 - the First Enterprise High-Quality Development Bao'an Forum was held. Meanwhile, the "Wisdom Bao'an - Thousand Enterprises Service Plan" was launched at the forum. RUC will provide enterprises with comprehensive support such as think tank consulting, enterprise services, and cooperation between government, enterprises, and schools, further aiding the high-quality development of enterprises in Bao'an District.
In addition, the forum also held the First Educators Qianhai Forum "High-Quality Development of Basic Education in the New Era and Outlook" and the "Revitalizing County Education" thematic forum, as well as 11 thematic forums including public policy, macroeconomic governance, talent policy, opening and development etc.
On the evening of the 29th, the closing forum of the Shenzhen Forum 2024 was held. Students from the RUC Student Art Troupe, Shenzhen Alumni Chorus, and Shenzhen University Student Art Troupe, as well as student and alumni representatives, brought exciting performances.
