On March 28, The Global Science and Innovation High-End Think Tank Forum (hereinafter referred to as the “Think Tank Forum”) was held at the Haihui Hall, Zhongguancun International Innovation Center. 21 international students from Renmin University of China (RUC), representing 15 countries including France, Pakistan, Sierra Leone, and Vietnam, were invited to the forum, where they engaged with experts and attended keynote speeches.
The Zhongguancun Forum serves as China’s national-level platform for global sci-tech innovation exchange and cooperation. The Think Tank Forum, one of the forum’s 10 flagship sub-forums, was co-hosted by the Ministry of Science and Technology and the People’s Government of Beijing Municipality, and organized by the Beijing Academy of Science and Technology and the Zhongguancun Global High-End Think Tank Alliance. Under the theme “Future Industries and Innovation Ecosystem: Voices of Global Think Tanks,” the event brought together over 500 participants from 50+ countries and regions, including: 4 Chinese and international academicians, 1 foreign diplomat to China, 3 representatives from international organizations and 95 leading think tanks worldwide.
The forum provided RUC international students with an in-depth understanding of cutting-edge technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI) and robotics, while also allowing them to appreciate the significance of international collaboration in sci-tech innovation. Through this experience, they gained first-hand insight into China’s pivotal role in advancing global technological progress.
