On December 26th, Renmin University of China and Haidian District signed a strategic cooperation agreement, which states that they will integrate quality resources to promote the cultural and ideological development in the district and also the construction of a good social environment for college teachers and students. The signing ceremony was held in RUC. District leaders, including Sui Zhenjiang, Party Secretary of Haidian District, Li Yanlai, member of the Standing Party Committee of Haidian District, Xu Yongquan, Deputy Director of the government of Haidian District attended the ceremony. University leaders, including Cheng Tianquan, Party Secretary of RUC, Chen Yulu, President of RUC, and Wang Liming, Deputy Party Secretary of RUC were also in attendance. At the ceremony, Chen Yulu and Sui Zhenjiang, on behalf of the University and the District, signed a strategic cooperation agreement. The University and the District will establish a working group that coordinates the overall cooperation. The working group will be headed by Cheng Tianquan, Chen Yulu, Sui Zhenjiang and Sun Wenkai, Director of Haidian District. The cooperation agreement aims at constructing a campus environment that is tidy, graceful, safe, ordered and harmonious. The University and the District will join hands in providing quality cultural and educational resources for the public by organizing various volunteer activities and establishing a multi-dimensional propaganda system. The construction of a harmonious campus will focus on cultivating cultural atmosphere, promoting teaching level, enhancing campus environment and regulating human management. Cheng Tianquan, Party Secretary of RUC delivered a speech. He noted that Haidian District is blessed with a long history, strong economic power and profound cultural accumulation. Located at Haidian District, RUC shares mutual benefits with the District. The cooperation between RUC and the District has been well-established and long-standing, and the construction of a harmonious campus and an amicable community accords with RUC's ultimate goal of building up a first class university that satisfies the people and is recognized in the international academic community. RUC will strengthen its awareness of serving the District by offering strong and effective human and intelligent resources. Sui Zhenjiang, Party Secretary of Haidian District noted that the signing of the strategic cooperation agreement has marked a new milestone for the cooperation between RUC and Haidian District. The University and the District will integrate their quality resources to strengthen cooperation and complement each other's advantages. Before the signing ceremony, Chen Tianquan, Party Secretary of RUC and Chen Yulu, President of RUC had a meeting with the delegation led by Sui Zhenjiang, Party Secretary of Haidian District. The cooperation between RUC and Haidian District has won public attention from all sides of society.
