On May 3, the launching ceremony of Renmin University of China Mobile Library was held on the first-floor library hall. The ceremony was presided over by Liu Dachun, head of RUC library. Wang liming, deputy party secretary and vice president of the University attended the ceremony and delivered a speech.

At the beginning of the launching ceremony, Liu Dachun first introduced the function, theory and application method of Renmin University of China Mobile Library, and then expressed his sincere thanks to the honored guests in attendance as well as all the hardworking staff who keep the mobile library project operating smoothly.

On behalf of the school leaders, Wang Liming offered congratulations on the launching of RUC mobile library, and he pointed out that with the rapid development of information storage technology, the establishment of RUC Mobile Library was able to provide teachers and students with more convenience to use library resources and services. Wang Liming opined, as one of the focus attention of RUC teachers and students, the library should in the next step, strive to improve the overall level of its service, construct “delicacy management, people-oriented service” environment for teaching and research.

On the launching ceremony, Shi Chao, CEO of Superstar Group, partner of mobile library project, stressed the importance of the cooperation with RUC and expressed his hope to expand the cooperation with the university in order to provide better services to RUC readers.

As Wang Liming pressed the button, Renmin University of China Mobile Library was officially put in use.

Guests and readers in attendance thus experienced mobile library on the scene via their smart phones or tablet PC. It is understood that after the mobile library platform is activated, without the restrictions of time, place and space, readers can obtain library resources flexibly and enjoy its services freely through a variety of mobile devices.
