President of Carleton University visits RUC

RUC Vice President Yi Zhihong met with Roseann O’ Reilly Runte, President of Carleton University, Canada, on October 18, Friday.
Vice President Yi welcomed President Roseann O’Reilly Runte for her visit. Yi introduced RUC in such aspects of history, strong disciplines, International Summer School and the English master degree program, etc. “Many schools, including School of Business, have established cooperation with Carleton University. I hope our bilateral cooperation can be expanded to the whole university,” Yi said.
President Runte introduced strong schools and the summer semester of Carleton University, and expressed that RUC students are welcomed to Carleton University for studying.
“Carleton students who participated in the exchange program between business schools feel very happy about their experience. More and more Carleton students want to study in RUC,” said Runte.
Those who also attended the meeting are Justin Li, Dean of Confucius Institute, Carleton University, Prof. Geng Youzhuang, Deputy Director of Institute for the Promotion of Chinese Language and Culture, RUC; Wo Xiaojing, Deputy Director of RUC Scientific Research Administration Office, and Sheng Xiwen, Deputy Director of RUC International Office.
Founded in 1942, Carleton University situates in Ottawa, the capital of Canada. There are around 30,000 students and 2,000 teachers and staffs in this comprehensive university, which consists of 6 schools of humanity and social sciences, natural sciences, engineering and designing, public administration, Sprott Business School as well as graduate school.
