22 RUC Athletes participated in the 30th Beijing University Athletics Elite, which was held in Xiannongtan Stadium on December 28th, Saturday. Zhou Qianqian, a freshman from School of Finance, acquired two champions in the events of Long Jump Women and Triple Jump Women. She was recruited by RUC for her outstanding sport performance. Beijing University Athletics Elite was co-initiated by Federation of University Sports of Beijing as well as Beijing Athletics Association, and was organized by Athletics Branch of Federation of University Sports of Beijing. Athletes consist of representatives from 15 Beijing-based universities and some professionals. RUC Athletics Team has achieved excellent results in recent years. RUC athlete won the champion of 100m Men Professionals in National University Athletics Championships held in the summer of 2013, marking the end of long time dominance by Peking University and Tsinghua University.
