RUC President Prof. CHEN Yulu, accompanied by Vice President Prof. YI Zhihong, met with the delegation of Korean Foundation for Advanced Studies (KFAS) led by Mr. PARK In-kook, President of KFAS on February 20, Thursday. President CHEN expressed that KFAS has established the RUC Asian Research Center and keeps supporting it. RUC and KFAS are joint organizers of the International Confucian Forum. Meanwhile, RUC students participated in the Korea-China Leadership Program held by KFAS and learned a lot. CHEN also appreciated the supports and assistance provided by KFAS. He expects that the bilateral cooperation between RUC and KFAS, which will promote the research of Asian issues and the academic exchanges between China and Korea, could be continuously enhanced with the creativity of cooperative mode. KFAS President PARK recalled the occasion when RUC delegation led by President CHEN visited KFAS in last September. He said that RUC Asian Research Center have achieved remarkable results after a decade-long development. Besides, he expects RUC to keep supporting the bilateral cooperation. KFAS is willing to provide assistance for promoting RUC’s Asian academic exchange and development. Besides, collaboration to be carried out in 2014 were discussed. Dr. ZHANG Xiaojing, Director of International Office, RUC, also attended the meeting.
