On the afternoon of Feb 21st, the 2014 Meeting of Publicity and Education in universities in Beijing was held at Beijing Conference Center. The meeting put forward the key points of publicity and education in 2014, the orientation of the related work and awarded the universities that did well in 2013. Associate Prof Liao Fei from RUC School of Sociology and Population Studies got the Beijing Spiritual Civilization Award, an undergraduate Yang Pengbo from School of Labor and Human Resources got the title “Most Helpful Person in Beijing”. The Students’ Affairs Office of RUC Party Committee got the second prize for its innovative Party member education model. In addition, RUC was also awarded for its excellent work in organizing the activity of Excellant Class Selection.
Mr. Liu Jian, Vice Secretary with Education Committee of Beijing Party Committee, summarized the experience and problems in ideological efforts of universities in 2013. Mr. Tang Lijun, Vice Secretary with Education Committee of Beijing Party Committee, explained the key points and made plans for publicity education in 2014. He also attached great importance to ideological correctness in related work by promoting Socialism with Chinese characteristics, Deng Xiaoping Theory, Important Thought of Three represents, Scientific Outlook on Development and so on.
