RUC tennis team continues its success at the 2013/2014 National Collegiate Tennis Tournament in Beijing

The 2013/2014 National Collegiate Tennis Tournament (Beijing) took place on RUC’s campus on the 12th and 13th of October. RUC’s team has shown themselves to be fierce competitors, obtaining first place in the women’s first division, first place in the men’s third division, runner-up in the men’s second division, fifth place in the men’s first division, and fifth place in the women’s second division. Vice Chairman of the University Council, Wu Fulai, attended the games and presented awards to the winners of each division.
During these two days, the competitors overcame bad weather conditions and significant pressure, while displaying hard work and courage to be the best they can be. Ultimately, Tsinghua University, Kunming Polytechnic University, and Inner Mongolia Agricultural University obtained the first three spots, respectively, of the men’s first division.Zhejiang University, Renmin University, and Shanghai University of Finance and Economics obtained the first three spots, respectively, of the men’s second division. Renmin University, Southwestern University, and Sichuan University obtained the first three spots, respectively, of the men’s third division.Renmin University, Xi’an Jiaotong University, and Inner Mongolia Agricultural University obtained the first three spots, respectively, of the women’s first division. Zhejiang University, Ningbo University, and Beijing Sports University obtained the first three spots, respectively, of the women’s second division.Sichuan University, Inner Mongolia Agricultural University and Beijing Institute of Chemical Engineering obtained the first three spots, respectively, of the women’s third division.
The 2014 National Collegiate Tennis Tournament is divided into eight conferences with seventy-five teams. Each conference’s top two teams participate in the tournament. RUC resides over the National Collegiate Tennis Association. This tournament is sponsored by the National Collegiate Sports Association Tennis Club, Renmin University, Tsinghua University, and Beijing Jiaotong University.
